Digital Story Productions was founded in 2017 by our founder, Alaine Thompson, after completion of her Bachelor in Communication (Media) at RMIT University with Distinction. Alaine has extensive production experience.
Most recently including her work at Australia’s largest video production company, Visual Domain. Starting out as a runner in 2018, Alaine has swiftly moved up the ranks to the role of Production Coordinator and actively produces work for an expanding list of clients.
Alaine has also worked on live and location-based TV programs through RMITV, as well as on her own short film projects.

The story behind the logo
The Digital Story Productions logo was designed by Alaine and has personal significance. The logo is based on the ‘kino-eye’. Half camera lens, half human eye, the ‘kino-eye’ is a theory posited by renowned Soviet filmmaker, Dziga Vertov, who theorised that the camera is an extension of the filmmaker’s perspective, an extension of their eye.
This philosophy is at the heart of Digital Story Productions as we work hard to make sure that your story, your brand’s perspective, is seen through the lens of our work and spreads like wildfire.
